Belle Kidd

Colourful, simple, contemporary

My name is Belle and I live on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula. I began art as a hobby when I was studying and it has become my little side hobby. I am inspired by colour, patterns, flowers, and the environment around me

Where did you study art or how did you train?:

I haven’t done any formal study in art apart from Studio Arts in Year 12. I am completely self taught by trial and error.

How would you describe your artistic style?:

Colourful, simple, contemporary

What themes or subjects do you most frequently explore in your art work?:

A bit of a few things. I love pattern work and flowers. I have also explored fine line art in the form of divers.

Do you have a memorable story or experience related to your art?:

My mum is an amazing artist, however she doesn’t sell any artwork. I remember growing up watching mum paint and that’s sort of where my art journey began

Tell us about your first painted ArtBag. What was the inspiration behind this piece. What did you most and least enjoy about working on it?:

Painting on a bag sure was a challenge in terms of composition and being slightly limited in terms of colours. However it was great a great challenge that allowed me to flow some creativity and be a bit looser. I had an image of a montage of flowers. I was inspired by previous works I’ve created and the face of the bag I painted on looked like a perfect opportunity for this.

Belle Kidd chose to custom paint our saffiano Prada tote bag in nude. This stunning bag is teamed with gold hardware and comes with a padlock. Why not add Belle Kidds ArtBag to your collection today - available to purchase in our shop or book her for a one-to-one commission on your own handbag.
